We are pleased to share that in Q1 2024,

Trustees approved 96 grants totaling $16.9 million to nonprofit organizations across the Pacific Northwest.

While we are in our own season of updating systems and strategies, nonprofits throughout our region are in periods of critical capacity-building too. Facility renovations for health clinics, new key staff for conservation groups, arts programs reaching new audiences, research partnerships between institutions and high schools, mental health initiatives across states, new support for job training services — these are just a sampling of the ways nonprofits are strengthening pathways to transformation for everyone in our region. This report is a small acknowledgement of this work, and a chance to say thank you for letting us partner with you in it.

An Operations Manager will aid Destination Rehab in empowering more adults with neurological conditions to experience the beautiful Oregon outdoors.

Heart of Oregon Corps

A new campus project will create space for workforce training and education to support more youth and young adults in their journey to meaningful job readiness.

NAMI Oregon

Building renovations and technology upgrades will further position NAMI Oregon to offer vital mental health services to communities statewide.

Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation

The restoration of the historic ORN197 steam locomotive will preserve an important piece of history and enable safer, more sustainable operation of the Holiday Express train.

Immigrant Refugee and Community Organization

Trust funding will support a preschool facility that employs people who are immigrants or refugees while caring for children of those who are also newly arrived to the region.

An emergency department remodel and helipad relocation will enable more safe and patient-friendly service at Island Health in Anacortes.

Washington State University

Support for a Partners in Science research grant will enable multi-year, mutually enriching collaborations between researchers and high school teachers.

Union Gospel Mission Inland Northwest

A new emergency shelter will offer services to those who are living unsheltered in Lewis Clark Valley.

Olympic Peninsula YMCA

Support for the construction of a new Early Childhood Learning Center will begin to address a critical lack of available childcare in Clallam County.

Habitat for Humanity Snohomish County

New staff will increase this organization’s capacity to partner with local communities to expand home ownership opportunities in Snohomish County.
