As we step into a new year, we are pleased to welcome two new teammates to the Murdock Trust. Their addition to our technology and communications teams reflect our goal to deliver gold-standard service to all stakeholders – from a digital presence that serves regional nonprofits well to a technology infrastructure that supports our grantmaking and operational needs.
First, we are excited to announce Eddie Sawyer as our new IT Systems Administrator. In this role, Eddie provides internal management support for the technology critical to the Murdock Trust’s work and mission. He joins the team with over 30 years of experience ranging from support technician and technology educator to systems administration and IT leadership. A native of Vancouver, WA, with a degree in electronic communications and culture from Washington State University, Eddie is excited to see more of the local and regional impact of the Trust’s work – and provide the technological support to help make it happen.
We are also thrilled to deepen our digital presence in impact-driven ways with the support of our new Digital Media Specialist, May LaFlamme. A local of the Pacific Northwest and graduate of the University of Oregon with a degree in advertising, May joins the communications team with four years of experience in marketing and media planning, as well as a passion for using digital media to tell meaningful stories. May will help us utilize a variety of digital tools to engage and support nonprofits across the Pacific Northwest.
As we continue to deepen our investment in the nuanced needs of each sector, both of these roles will provide vital capabilities and sophistication to our work. Please join us in warmly welcoming May and Eddie to the Murdock Trust team!
