This week, there is excitement throughout the Murdock Trust offices as we announce a significant change to our leadership team.
The Murdock Trust is pleased to announce the hiring of Mike True, President and CEO of The Historic Trust of Fort Vancouver, as our new CFO. A leader with the Historic Trust of Fort Vancouver for more than a decade, Mike brings a unique perspective to the Murdock Trust, as both a financial expert and a grant recipient.
“We have had the pleasure of working with Mike and getting to know him as we have partnered on several programs and initiatives. He is a gifted leader, thoughtful colleague and friend,” said Julie Cieloha-Whitney who will retire as CFO of the Murdock Trust at the end of the year.
“In addition to being an expert in his field and a community leader, Mike will bring fresh insight to our work as a former grantee and nonprofit head. We are so pleased he has agreed to join our team,” added Steve Moore, executive director, Murdock Trust. “We are fortunate that Julie has agreed to continue with the Trust and help with special projects, such as the move to our new offices.”
“I am incredibly honored to join the team at the Murdock Charitable Trust,” said Mike True, incoming CFO, Murdock Trust. “The Trust is a highly regarded organization in our community that does incredible work throughout our region. I’m excited to work alongside a well-respected staff and group of leaders to help advance the mission of the organization that has a lasting positive impact in our communities.”
Mike is a Certified Public Accountant who previously served as the CFO for the Historic Trust of Fort Vancouver before assuming the role of President and CEO. A graduate of George Fox University with degrees in accounting and business administration, Mike began his career with Moss-Adams as a member of their senior accounting staff. He has also served as a board member and chair with Leadership Clark County.
Mike will begin his transition over the summer. Please join us in expressing our unending gratitude to Julie Cieloha-Whitney for her decades of service and extending a warm welcome to Mike True as he takes the baton to help lead the Murdock Trust into our next chapter.
